What we don’t understand about vulnerability and trust

As the oldest child in an Asian household, I have been told my whole life to be strong and be a role model to my younger siblings. I love them to death. But I did not realize how toxic that mentality was until I realized how much I struggled to ask for help or to trust anyone else.
